The History of Buckingham School
Built in 1947, Buckingham School originally housed students from Grade One to Eleven. Eventually, during the 1960s, High School students were transferred to Philemon Wright High School in Hull, Quebec. Today, the school continues as an English elementary school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten (4 year olds) to Cycle 3 year 2 students (formerly known as Grade 6).
Buckingham School has long served the surrounding rural areas and local suburban areas. Today, it remains a community school with partnerships with local stakeholders and networks with schools internationally.
